What a great year this year! We all had a fabulous time.

As we arrived we were very excited. It had been a long journey to Shropshire, even though Mr Shields had told us there was only 20 minutes left when there was really 2 hours remaining! We met Ricky, our groupee, who looked after us and showed us where everything was. We stayed in the lodges which were surrounded by beautiful forest and woodland areas. This was our lodge - Jacana Lodge - all the lodges were named after birds.

We soon learned how to put on our harnesses and safety helmets for our abseiling, trapeze and Jacobs Ladder activities. The activities were fantastic but quite scary. They really challenged us and made us face our fears. This picture was taken before he went down the abseiling wall!

Descending the abseiling tower.

Completely relieved when reaching the ground!

Belaying my friend as he climbs the Jacobs Ladder.

Great fun, but very scary as we went higher. We worked as a team to get to the top.

We've built it! (But will it work???)

Raftbuilding was fabulous, but wet and cold. We had two teams making two different rafts. One teams' raft fell to pieces as soon as it hit the water and we all got extremely wet, but we didn't mind that much. Mr Shields' group stayed dry, so we through him in at the end.

We were all looking forward to our kayaking session now that we knew it wasn't that bad falling in.

Still got the thumbs up,but I 'm not so sure what my friend is on about.

Miss P had the heaviest case, she packed everything! She even brough teddies for children who might be homesick and foil sheets if we got cold!

One lucky one who remained dry!

The Quad Biking had a strange effect on some of us.

A great experience which we would recommend to anybody in the future.
