Sports Day 2011
Wednesday, 15 June 2011

Sports Day this year was held on a beautiful day and the children had a wonderful time.

Sports Day was held on a very hot day this year with a fresh approach as a number of changes were introduced by our school councillors.  They had expressed their desire to introduce a number of the more traditional activities such as egg & spoon, sack races and some newer ones such as javelin and hockey.  I think we can all say that the day went wonderfully with so many parents finding the time to come and support their children as they all rotated around the field carrying out twelve activities.

Every child in the school took part and our own Year 6 helped to assist the Infant groups around the activities in the morning.  We were also very pleased to have the students of Parklands High School who helped to score and run each activity.

We were very grateful to have so many parents helping also, as they lead different groups from place to place ensuring that they were ready to perform and put their all into the tasks in order to raise points for their house teams.

Well done to Green Team for a second year on the trot!
