Just to remind you, the 3rd payment of £70 for the Year 6 weekend away to Boreatton Park is due on or before this Friday 3rd February. Again, it is essential that this deadline is kept in order to maintain your child’s place. Thank you.
CRICKET/ROUNDERS SKILLS CLUB – MONDAYS AFTER HALF TERM
After half term, I would like to invite children in Years 4, 5 & 6 to attend a club to be held on Mondays after school preparing children for forthcoming matches and tournaments in the summer term. The club will run from 3- 4pm and children should be collected from the upper junior classroom area. The club will be attended by Sharon Walls, a coach for the Chorley School Sports Partnership. If your child is interested, please complete the slip attached to this Wednesday Weekly. We hope to allow for approximately 15 children and all places will be chosen fairly from a hat if there is excess demand.
PTFA MEETING
A meeting of the PTFA will be held in school next Tuesday at 6.10pm. We would welcome your attendance at this meeting to make arrangements for events this term.
GIRLS’ NAILS & HAIR
Please note children are not allowed to wear acrylic nails in school. These inhibit the children from fully joining in activities and can be dangerous if they are caught on equipment. Also, can we remind you that long hair needs to be tied back during PE/Games lessons. If your child has long hair, we would be grateful if you could ensure that they have something to tie it back with kept in their PE bags. Many thanks.

WALKING BUS
Just to remind you that the Walking Bus is available every day and is currently very healthily attended. Children seem to be enjoying the social life it offers each morning. A member of staff (usually Mr Shields or Miss Tallis) will arrive at Spar at approximately 8.25am and leave promptly at 8.30am for school. If you wish your child to join ‘the bus’, please inform Mr Shields.
