Outdoor Maths - Everest

This week in Maths lessons, Year 6 have been studying Properties of Shape, with a particular focus on angles. On Thursday, we decided to make the most of the sunshine and took our session outside. We revisited the different compass points before using our bodies to act as the needle. In groups, we had to problem solve different turns and incorporated some fractions work on addition of different denominators to calculate our final points. We had lots of fun and it definitely helped to consolidate our understanding.
