Potatoes in Maple class!
Wow! Today we have been very surprised in Maple class.
You may have seen us planting our potatoes in a previous post. We weren’t sure what would happen but we knew we had to look after them very carefully.
Since then, the children have made sure that the potatoes have had plenty of water and sunlight. It was a bit confusing at first as we couldn’t see them growing, but after some discussion, we realised that the potatoes would be growing in the soil.
We were very excited to see if any potatoes had grown…
We opened the bag but we could only see lots of soil. Then we heard the cry…”there’s a potato!”
We all had a look and everyone managed to find a potato! Some were huge and some were tiny!
