    The Healthy Heroes have enjoyed exercising like Superheroes. They have learnt how to keep food safely at home and also learnt how to use the ‘bridge’ and ‘claw’ method, when cutting using a knife.
     

  • National Football Week in Cedar Class

    Cedar class have relished dressing in their football kits today. We have enjoyed counting in twos and fives outside whilst bouncing and catching balls. We used the 100 square outside to investigate the patterns of twos and fives. We based our Phonics lesson around football too, shooting real words into the goal posts. We have also completed lots of Maths activities in the classroom too.

  • France’s ‘Lemon Festival’ celebrations in Cedar Class

    This week in French, Cedar Class enjoyed celebrating the ‘Lemon Festival’.

    They tasted lemon foods and drink and designed a float for the celebrations.

  • Nation Football Week Maths in Pendle

    As part of our National Football Week activities, year 3 were challenged to build their dream football team. Each team had to come up with a team name and then select a manager and players. However, they had a budget so couldn’t always pick the most expensive players! Just when they had created their team, disaster struck! Their striker was injured so they had to find the money to replace them! 

  • Y5 dietician visit

    Year 5 were visited by a parent who is a paediatric dietician. She talked about what her role involves and the types of issues that she deals with. The children had to guess what advice she would give depending on the condition or disease and what foods they would be able to have. It was a very informative session and Mont Blanc certainly asked some very good questions that showed their knowledge, understanding and inquisitiveness. 

  • Construction Talk

    Today Year 4 were treated to a talk from ISG construction. They spoke to the children about working within a construction company. After the talk, the children were able to use snap circuit kits to build a variety of different circuits to power different components. 
    Everyone had a great time and learnt a great deal.

  • Pendle Class- Safer Internet Day

    Pendle Class were very knowledgeable during discussions about keeping safe online. We talked about the difference between people we ‘know’ and people we ‘know of’. We then completed an activity thinking about how much we know about people in real life compared to people we only know online. 

  • Safe Internet Day

    Cedar class enjoyed discussing what they use the internet for and had some extremely sensible ideas about how to keep themselves safe when online. We read the story ‘DigiDuck and the Magic Castle’ and talked about how DigiDuck could keep himself and his personal information safer when playing games online. 

  • Construction

    Look at out fantastic creations in our construction area. We have been trying really hard to work together, persevere and use our critical thinking skills to create different buildings and small worlds. Here we have a zoo, park, castle and some boys making different types of bridges.
