Year 3 Pendle Class

Welcome to Pendle Class. Year 3 is an exciting stage of your child's learning journey as they begin their transition into Key Stage 2 and take on new challenges, responsibilities and opportunities.

In Pendle Class, we work closely alongside Rivington Class, our other Year 3 class, ensuring that all children benefit from a consistent and enriching learning experience. Through shared activities, curriculum experiences and collaborative events, we foster a strong sense of community across Year 3.

Throughout the year, children will continue to develop their reading, writing and maths skills through a broad and engaging curriculum that encourages curiosity, creativity and independence. Lessons are carefully planned to challenge and support all learners, with opportunities for practical activities, discussion, investigation and collaborative learning.

Pendle Class is taught by Mrs Murphy, who teaches for three days each week, and Miss Dobbs, who teaches on Thursdays and Fridays. Together, we work closely to ensure high-quality teaching, continuity in learning and the best possible outcomes for every child.

We are committed to creating a positive and supportive classroom environment where children feel valued, confident and motivated to achieve their best. Alongside academic success, we place great importance on developing resilience, responsibility and strong friendships.

We believe that working in partnership with parents and carers is key to helping children thrive. We value open communication and are always happy to support with any questions or concerns.

We look forward to sharing a wonderful year of learning, discovery and achievement with all the children in Pendle Class.
