Multi Faith Day – Year 2

Yesterday we had a wonderful time when Mr Anwar came to talk to Year 2 about his faith . 

 

 

He told us that as a Muslim, he  washes himself fully as a preparation for prayer .

 

 

He showed us a Koran and a bible and explained the importance of the Koran to us. He told us it was written in Arabic and told us that Muslim’s believe that Mohammed is the messenger of God.

 

 

It was wonderful to hear about the 5 different pillars of Islam and we also learned about prayer mats and how Muslim’s face Mecca as they pray.
