Reception 24/25

Below you will find all the key information about the Early Years Foundation Stage

Our school day starts at 8.40am and finishes at 3.10pm.

The children go for lunch at 11.40pm and afternoon lessons start at 12.40pm.

Our classroom and outdoor area are designed to encompass all areas of the Early Years Curriculum providing thematic provision that meets the needs of all.

The Outdoors is always open in all weather, so we ask the children to bring in wellies and waterproofs (named) to enable children to enjoy working outdoors and forest school. Children can bring in a water bottle only containing water, no cordial or juices. We ask if these could be labelled with their name as we sometimes get children with the same bottles. Children can access their water bottle at any time of the day apart from carpet inputs (15 minutes AM and PM).

We have P.E every Friday morning. Children will need a plain white t-shirt, black shorts and white sole trainers in a draw string bag (all labelled with a name). P.E kits will be sent home to be washed at the end of every term.  We encourage children to dress themselves independently, so it’s important they can put their own shoes on and manage with buttons and zippers.

Toast and milk are offered in the morning providing that you have paid the office at the beginning of each term. Milk is free until your child turns five and teachers will receive an up-to-date list at the beginning of term and can only give it to those on the list. If your child prefers not to have toast you are welcome to provide them with one piece of fruit for the morning.

If you have any queries or questions, we ask you ring the office to book a time to speak to the teachers or teaching assistants. Look out for updates on 'Latest News'.

Our 'Wednesday Weekly' advertises the dates that payment is needed and any other important information.

Kind regards, the EYFS Team
