A visitor from Taiwan – Elm Class

This afternoon we had an amazing time listening to Soloman who came to visit us from Taiwan.  He had started a project at school as he was coming to visit some of his relatives here in England and he wrote his own presentation about life in Taiwan.

He talked to us about where Taiwan was , and asked lots of questions about the weather and places we could visit like the Jade Mountain !

He showed us  puppets that were very popular in Taiwanese culture.
And he played a traditional song on a Ukelele .

It was amazing to listen to .

The most exciting part was when he presented all the children with their name written in Chinese . We learned that Taiwanese is not a written language.

Thank you Soloman and your family . It was delightful to meet you all !
