River Studies in year 4
Yesterday, class 4 had a day at Cuerden Valley Country Park where we carried on our Rivers topic. The children took part in river dipping, panning, and completed tasks to map the depth, width and temperature of the River Lostock. A duck race measured how fast the river was flowing and got rather exciting. And although it started to rain during our afternoon session, the children were a credit to our school and the rangers were very impressed with their river knowledge. Many thanks to our helpers who came along.
