The School

The school was built in 1970 to meet the growing population in Euxton. Due to an increasing demand for school places in the Euxton area and in particular at Primrose Hill as a result of our outstanding reputation, the school engaged in a £4.2 million expansion project that saw the capacity of the school increase from one to two form entry. The school now has two classes per cohort and is full to capacity with over 420 pupils on roll.

The school has fantastic facilities, including excellent provision of the very latest technology in every classroom. Each classroom contains an interactive smartboard, at least fifteen i-pads (Upper key Stage classes actually operate on 1:1 devices) and access to a range of PC’s or laptops. There is a well-stocked library with a computerised database which holds a comprehensive collection of fiction, non-fiction and reference books as well as an interactive smartboard. We now have  two halls that are used throughout the day for PE, drama, music lessons and assemblies as well as for dining.

The school is fortunate in having extensive grounds including a very large playing field, a football pitch, two hard surface playgrounds, wildlife and forest school areas (including an eco pond), outdoor learning areas and car parks.

We aim to:

Create an orderly atmosphere with a bright, attractive and welcoming environment for our children and have an on-going programme of improvements

Visitors are welcome and you are invited to look around the school, meet the staff and the children and discover the warm, friendly atmosphere of our school. We advertise four open days every academic year and these can be found on the school website in the ‘Open Days’ section.
