We had a great trip to Preston today to visit the Gujarat Hindu Temple as part of our RE lessons.

First we went on a coach.

And as the journey wasn’t very long we quickly arrived at the Temple.

We were very excited to meet our two guides and we talked in the education room for a while about some of the names of the Hindu gods.

We took off our shoes as a sign of respect and then we went into the Temple. We were given a Tilak dot as a blessing and welcome and said

Namaste.

We then were allowed to tour the Temple .

We saw the Prashad food, smelled incense and saw many of the Gods we had been learning about . Afterwards we were guided in some meditation.

It was a brilliant day and we all thoroughly enjoyed it !

And then it was time to go home . We can’t wait till we get to go again .
