The Day the Crayons Quit – English work in Elm Class

We loved this book so much on World Book Day that we wanted to do some work on it in our classes too . Elm Class all agree that Drew Daywalt has written a brilliant book using letters as if they were from the crayons !

We pretended we were the crayons and we tried to write letters to Duncan to explain why we wanted to leave . We thought of character words to describe the ways that the crayons were feeling and we even tried to think about what the crayons would say using speech bubbles 

We even pretended to be the lonely pencil case !
