The Fire Brigade visit Elm Class
We had an amazing time when Craig from Lancashire Fire and Rescue came to visit our school.
He talked to us about how important smoke alarms are
And showed us how loud the alarm would be in our houses ! It was very loud !
He then talked to us about creating a fire plan, and we watched a video about a family who had created a fire plan .
Craig talked to us about the importance of closing doors , and checking the door using the back or our hands. He showed s that crawling on your knees helped to avoid the smoke that would make us cough if there was a fire.
He also said that we had to leave our pets and the fire brigade would save any pets in our houses. Craig told us a funny story about when he had to rescue a very big snake !
Thank you to Lancashire Fire and Rescue for coming to talk to us today. We will all remember to
Get out
