Saxon Stew in Snowdon!
The children amazed us today! They all used knives and peelers safely to prepare a mixture of vegetables which the Saxons would have had eaten. The vegetables were left to cook for three hours in the slow cookers. After lunch, they children tucked in and really enjoyed eating Saxon style. They wanted the recipe so they could cook it at school… we used leek, parsnip, swede, onion and carrots with a pint of vegetable stock.
