Debating in Maple class

We have been learning about famous explorers in Maple class this half term.

We know all about Christopher Columbus and have compared his explorations to Neil Armstrong and the moon landing.

But the question is – who was braver?

This led to a big debate in our class. The children discussed why they thought either explorer was the bravest and they tried to sway my opinion. They listened to other viewpoints and could bounce ideas across for the other team to think about.
