Maple class visit to the Hindu temple

Wow! We had a wonderful visit to the Hindu temple today.

First, we took our shoes off and went inside the temple. The children were offered a tilak dot and we began our tour.

We looked at all the different Gods, although we learnt that there is only one God.

We have learnt all about Puja in our lessons, and we saw the food that was being offered.

After this, we sat in a circle and practised chanting using the sacred sound, Aum. We also played instruments and sang the mantra Hare Krishna.

We learnt a lot about the Hindu faith and the children really enjoyed their trip!
