Science Week – Year 2 building bridges

Today, we set our Year 2 children a task involving only paper and blue stick tack. They were challenged to use these resources to build a bridge that would hold the weight of a toy car.

We put the children into teams and off they went.

When the time was up, some teams had managed to create a bridge using just paper and stick tack.

It was test time!

Most bridges could hold the toy car…so we went one step further to see if they would hold the toy bus…

…and they did!

Well done Maple and Elm class. We had lots of fun!
