Remembrance Day in Rivington

To mark Remembrance Day in Rivington Class, we decided to look closer to home and found out about the Chorley Pals Regiment and their contribution to the war effort and how they have been honoured. Taking inspiration from the Tower of London’s art installation of a wave of ceramic poppies, we made our own outdoor poppies to display opposite our classroom, almost making the illusion of our own field of poppies. The children were very considerate and thoughtful throughout the day and showed a mature level of respect.
