  • Inspiring Artists in Year 4

Fri 22 Oct 2021 Mrs Bullock

A few weeks ago, Mrs Bullock emailed an artist who lives in Wales, Ali Scott. Ali works in felt and creates breathtaking, colourful creations that are inspired by the landscapes that surrounds her. Mrs Bullock told Ali that our children would be studying her work and using it as an inspiration for their own felt creations later in the term. This week a package came to school from Ali! It was full of beautiful pictures of her work and a letter. The children have produced some fantastic work so far and can’t wait to send Ali something back to thank her for her kindness.

  • Autumn walk

Tue 12 Oct 2021 Miss Blackwell

The children enjoyed an Autumn walk through the woods today. We read a non-fiction book about Autumn to find out what to look for and had a brilliant discussion about the changing of seasons.  The children found leaves that were changing colour, berries on the trees, acorns and collected them in their buckets and took photos with the iPads. Some children collected sticks and wanted to compare the length as we have been looking at the language longest and shortest in maths.
