  • Science experiments and exploding books in Everest.

Sat 27 Mar 2021 Mrs Goodyear
Since returning to school on the 8th March, Year 6 have been working incredibly hard on their Science topic understanding the Circulatory System. We’ve completed some pulse experiments to understand why our heart works faster when we exercise, and have learnt about how to keep our body healthy. This week the children were tasked with making representations of blood; they had to justify and reason what was needed and explain the functions of each component. In addition, they wrote a fantastic narrative in role as a red blood cell, on their journey through the body. Finally, they finished their exploding books combining their art skills with research to inform how to stay healthy. I have been so impressed with their creativity and hard work. Well done Everest!

  • Y2 DT - Moving Vehicles - Elm Class

Fri 26 Mar 2021 Miss Pearson

We have had great fun in Elm class this week designing our own moving vehicles.  We looked at a range of vehicles and identified the important parts. We then had to design and make our own vehicle, learning about axels, axel holders, chassis and wheels and wheel stoppers too.

We had an amazing time, and we are sure you’ll agree that we learned a lot of DT.
